What you need for vehicle handover

Identity and driving licence

At vehicle handover, all registered drivers must present an original valid identity card or passport and a driving licence valid for the vehicle. Driving licences not issued in Latin script must be accompanied by an international driving permit or a suitable certified translation.

Drivers, minimum age and driving experience

The currently intended minimum requirement for the Porsche Macan and Mercedes-Benz GLE is age 25 with a driving licence held for at least three years. For the Tesla Model 3, the minimum is age 23 with a licence held for at least two years. The same requirements apply to additional drivers. Approval for the actual vehicle, the insurance conditions and the rental agreement remain authoritative. Only registered drivers may drive the vehicle.

Deposit and payment method

The vehicle-specific deposit is agreed before handover. The payment method must be attributable to the renter or to a payer confirmed in writing. The offer and rental agreement state the payment method, the time of reservation or charge and the release of the deposit. A deposit is security and is not automatically the renter's maximum liability.

Handover and return

The vehicle condition, mileage, fuel or charge level, keys and visible pre-existing damage are documented at handover and return. The booking confirmation specifies the rental start and end times and the handover and return locations. An extension is possible only with prior written approval.

Travel abroad and special use

Travel is permitted only in Germany, Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and France. Every journey outside Germany, additional drivers and special types of use must be requested and confirmed in writing before the rental begins. Race tracks, competitions, driver training without consent, off-road use, subletting and commercial passenger transport are not permitted.

Cancellation and no-show

A non-binding rental enquiry may be withdrawn free of charge at any time. The following working rule is currently intended for expressly confirmed bookings: free cancellation up to seven days before the rental begins, then 30% of the confirmed total rental price. In the event of a no-show without prior cancellation, the full total rental price may be charged. The rule applicable to the specific booking is stated in the offer before the agreement is concluded.

Conclusion of the agreement

The presentation of vehicles and prices on the website is not yet a binding contractual offer. A rental agreement is concluded only after PRESTIVEX has checked availability, driver documents, payment and security requirements and expressly confirmed the booking.

Renter's obligations

The renter must treat the vehicle carefully, observe operating and warning instructions, check required operating fluids and inform PRESTIVEX immediately of warnings, damage, breakdowns, lost keys or documents and other unusual events.

Return, delay and extension

The vehicle must be returned at the agreed location and at the time confirmed in writing. An extension or delayed return must be approved in writing before the rental period expires. Additional rental time and demonstrably incurred costs may be charged at the confirmed rate.

Smoking, animals and exceptional cleaning

Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. Animals may be carried only with prior written approval. Cleaning or odour-removal costs beyond normal vehicle care may be charged according to the actual documented expense.

Accident, damage and theft

PRESTIVEX must be informed immediately in the event of an accident, damage, vandalism or theft. The renter must preserve evidence, record the details of those involved and contact the police where required by law, appropriate in the circumstances or required by the rental agreement. Admissions of liability or repair orders without consent are not permitted.

Fuel, charging and mileage policy

Combustion and hybrid vehicles are handed over with a documented fuel level and must be returned with the same fuel level. Fully electric and externally chargeable vehicles are handed over with at least 80% battery and must be returned with the charge level agreed in the rental agreement. Included kilometres and additional kilometre prices follow the confirmed rate. The renter bears Supercharger and other charging costs subsequently charged to the lessor.

Insurance and liability

Insurance scope, excess, exclusions and obligations in the event of damage are governed exclusively by the specific rental agreement and the insurance conditions applicable to the vehicle. Intentional or grossly negligent breaches of duty and unauthorised drivers or uses may affect insurance cover.

Traffic offences and official charges

The responsible renter bears fines, tolls, parking charges and other costs resulting from use. Processing fees permitted by law and stated in the rental agreement may be charged additionally.

The currently planned weekend rate applies from Friday 4:00 p.m. to Monday 10:00 a.m. All final prices include 19% VAT. Only the terms of the written confirmed offer and rental agreement are binding.

Processing of personal data

Controller and contact

The controller for processing in connection with this website is PRESTIVEX car rental. Please send privacy enquiries to info@prestivex.de. The complete legal provider information will be added to the legal notice before public commercial operation begins.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by IONOS. When it is accessed, technically necessary log data may be processed, in particular IP address, time, requested address, referrer, browser and device information. Processing serves the secure and stable provision of the website.

WordPress and components used

The website is based on WordPress and uses Elementor for presentation, WPCode for technical website functions, WPConsent for consent management and SureMail for email delivery. The WPConsent preferences window shows which cookies and services are actually active.

Kontakt & Impressum and rental enquiries

When you submit an enquiry, we process the contact details, requested vehicle, rental period and other voluntary information you provide in order to handle your enquiry and take pre-contractual steps. An enquiry remains non-binding until confirmed in writing.

Rental enquiries are stored as non-public records in the protected WordPress administration area. PRESTIVEX and the enquiring customer receive separate transactional emails. Enquiries that do not lead to a contract are generally deleted no later than six months after processing is completed, unless statutory retention, evidence or legal-defence reasons require otherwise.

Retention period and recipients

Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, handling the enquiry, possible performance of a contract and statutory retention and evidence obligations. Where necessary, hosting, email, IT security, insurance or payment service providers may receive data within the scope of their tasks.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority.
